Instead of starting with visuals, we began with listening. From the very first call, it was clear that subtlety and intention would shape this project. Fidan wasn’t looking for something flashy. She needed a polished, timeless platform that editors, academics, and recruiters could navigate with ease.
The question wasn’t simply “what do we show” but “how do we frame her work so the right audience immediately sees her value?”
For recruiters: The design needed to convey credibility and polish, with structured sections that showed progression and measurable outcomes.
For editors: The site had to highlight her published work in a way that reflected both her creative and academic strengths.
For collaborators: The site needed to position her as approachable, with clear navigation and a human voice throughout.
Our strategy was to create a storytelling arc, from her academic foundation to her editorial achievements, so the site itself became a narrative of growth, expertise, and clarity.
We mapped this into five core pages:
Digital Presence: A calm, confident introduction.
About: A narrative written in her voice, tracing her journey across publishing, academia and tech.
Resume: A timeline layout with breathing space to showcase her achievements at Meta, ELLE and the University of Edinburgh.
Portfolio: Organized by publication type and topic, designed with editorial elegance and clarity.
Contact: Straightforward and warm, built for genuine connection.
